All of us in the Milwaukee area are lucky to watch Giannis Antetokounmpo on a nightly basis. After his MVP season last year, he has taken his game to new levels. In the Bucks last 5 games he is averaging 34.6 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1.8 blocks. Only a handful of people in the entire world are as genetically gifted as Giannis, but all players can learn from him. Work Ethic: He only has one speed… All out. That is in practice and in games. I’ve never trained Giannis, but I have been in the gym with him multiple times training with his brothers. He is always locked in and focused. He expects 100% of himself and his brothers at all times. You see this when he plays and trains. Consistency: Over the course of his career Giannis has changed his body, game, and IQ. If you look at a picture of his body when he was a rookie versus his body now, you can see that commitment. These types of changes happen one day at a time over the course of years. You don’t improve like he has when it’s an occasional thing. Passion: He loves to compete and he loves the game. As a player if you just love the game and give it everything you have on a daily basis you will be rewarded. |
