During the basketball season it is crucial that players continue to work on their individual skills. The truth is, most coaches spend time in practice focusing on their team's offense and defense, with little regard to individual player development. It's up to your son or daughter to take responsibility for improving their skill set.
As a parent, one way to do this is by exposing them with new and innovative drills, which will motivate them to work on their game. One of the biggest confidence "boosters" in school, the work place or on the basketball floor is providing someone the opportunity to individually improve. I know this motivates me!
A perfect example is this fall I spent time consulting with the Milwaukee Bucks player development coach and picked up some great drills for our camps. I can't wait to share these new drills!
Holiday Skills Camp Mount Mary College
1. NBA game film analysis to show players exactly what we are teaching them out on the floor.
2. We'll play 3 on 3 focusing on specific concepts we'll teach at camp.
3. Quickness, Agility, and Basketball Movement training with former NBA coach Steve Becker
4. BEST OF ALL — drop your kids off at the gym and ENJOY your day off!

What the NBA is Saying…
"Mike Lee has worked with me on many basketball instructional projects and is at the top of my list that I personally want to work with or recommend to others. His teaching methods are "State of the Art", and he gets student-athletes to improve their fundamental skills, while having fun doing it. He helped me get Lazar Hayward of Marquette University ready for the NBA draft, which resulted in a 1st round selection."
-BRIAN JAMES, Assistant Basketball Coach, Philadelphia 76ers
