Enjoyment Equals Motivation…
I read in a book recently, not sure which one, a great philosophy for motivating players or anyone for that matter. Get them to enjoy what you want them to do. Rah Rah speeches and pep talks only last so long. While I think there is a time and place for them I really believe in this philosophy. If you can get your players to find satisfaction in working hard and individual improvement you have won the battle. In reality that is our most fundamental motivation for doing anything. Not because someone told us to, or because we have to. The things we enjoy doing the most we are much more motivated to do. So now you know what you have to do, but how do you do it?
